Spin

one word finds me in a cynical mood today.

I looked out over the classroom. Sunlight pushed in through the dusty windows and bounced off the gray tile floors and cheap wooden desks.

“You help. You steer our youth,” she said.

“I lie,” I replied. “It’s the only thing I’ve ever really been good at.”
