We've been asked to write a very short paper on our experience with the book and what we took away from it as writers.
My title:
“David Mitchell is Smarter Than Me” and Other Assorted Fiction from Cloud Atlas
Now, to be fair, Mitchell is a hell of a writer – a chameleon of style and genre – but… yeah.
Did you like the book?
I liked the six stories that make up the book. I didn't care for the book. It fails to be greater than the sum of its parts.
