Sat around working on my RPG stuff, of course :-)
Read books. And now that's what I do for a living (as a copyeditor). :-)
At different ages, draw pictures of armies and super-heroes fighting each other, compile massive spreadsheets (before the term was widely used outside of accounting) about WWII weaponry, write and rewrite home-brew RPG spell books. And, always, read, read, read.
Read, slept, watched tv, and played games with my friends. Not easily monetized.
TV, drawing, reading, RPG's, video games, computer games/tinkering – not necessarily in that order. :-)
