Denver weather is having one of those "let's pretend we're an Alka Seltzer Cold ad set in Detroit" kind of days.

Aaaand tomorrow we're supposed to be backup to warmer than usual. Go fig.
Long-range monthly forecast indicates more cold and precipitation than usual. Keep a good supply of firewood.
Any forecast longer than about two hours out is mostly guess work and more than two days is complete bullshit.
I won't call it complete bullshit, but I wouldn't bet money on anything out further than that.
I suppose It depends on your need for accuracy and tolerance for imprecision. But even if all you need to know is umbrella or sunglasses you will often be let down. Track a long term forecast over the course of a day you'll notice they adjust it every few hours. Which makes the whole thing rather pointless.
I was going to say the Barret's original comment sounded like the bitterness of somebody who has to rely on constantly changing forecasts, while flying in the middle of them.
Sometimes they're wrong and sometimes they are really really WRONG.
