Yes, bees get a pretty bad rap, but the scary, stingy things you’re afraid of? Most likely wasps/yellow jackets, especially in Colorado. Bees, particularly honeybees and bumblebees, are fluffy little cuddle balls that fly around and pollinate stuff.
They won’t sting you unless you’re a direct threat to them, because if they sting you, they die.
Don’t be scared of bees. Be scared for bees.
