Adrift, Episode 4 (podcast) (#nanowrimo)

Okay, so the guys haven’t quite left the outline behind yet. I’ll talk about that more with Episode 5, when it happens.

This one took me bloody ages to get edited, because I couldn’t seem to get a solid take. By the time I got done, I was a leeeeeettle crazy, so I looped in an outtakes track at the end (it starts around 15:17, for those that want to skip right to the sounds of my fucking up over and over — warning, contains many heartfelt swears).

Trying for a slightly cleaner delivery, despite the headset mic.

Pretty happy with how the story’s going, actually. Highly unlikely I’ll ‘finish’ it in November, though, so expect these through December at least.

What I should do is put this whole thing on hold until I finish writing the damn draft. That’s what everyone with any experience tells me to do, and probably what I’ll tell anyone else in three months time.

But for now, what I’m going to do is aim for a new ep going out on Tuesday and Thursday, probably recorded the weekend before. We’ll see how that goes.

Comments, as always, welcome. If you’d like to subscribe via RSS feed, the address for the podcast-only feed is http://doycetesterman.com/index.php/category/podcasts/feed/.

Bones?

Adrift, Episode 1 (Podcast)

A couple caveats:

  • I’ve never done my own podcast before.
  • My headset sucks.
  • Adrift is a first draft.

So why am I doing this?

  • I’ve never done a podcast before, and I think it’d be fun.
  • I always, ALWAYS share whatever I’m writing for NaNoWriMo as I’m writing it, because (a) I have no shame and (b) it helps me stay motivated to keep at it.

And honestly? I don’t think it’s too damn bad. I’d welcome your comments and thoughts. Barring that, I just hope you enjoy it.

Here we go…
